HARRISBURG, IL (WFIE) -

Anyone struggling with their weight knows it's not easy.

For most of Justin Wiseman's life, he has been obese, and at his worst, he weighed 600 pounds just two years ago. He had type two diabetes, cirrhosis of the liver, and a form of sleep apnea.

Wiseman says it was a show on TV that made him realize he had to do something to change his life or he was going to die.

"It was about this mom and she was 700 and some pounds. She died during the taping of the show and I thought, 'Gosh that's not much more than me.' In that moment, I just had this moment of clarity," Wiseman said. "Whenever I had to lose that weight on my own, I created what I call my Live It List- tying my shoe, couldn't tie my shoe, taking a bath, couldn't take a bath. Not only could I not fit in the tub, I couldn't get up afterwards."

Now, Wiseman is traveling the country, telling his story, and keeping busy doing the things he couldn't do before.
