HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -

Emergency crews battled a fire in multiple Hamilton homes Tuesday evening.

It was reported around 10:15 p.m. in the 800 block of Dayton Street. Upon arrival, fire crews found two homes burning with the fire growing in size and threatening additional homes on the block.

Hamilton units began attacking the flames in each home and managed to control the flames within 30 minutes. Fairfield Township and St. Clair Township were called in for assistance.

Crews were at the scene for nearly four hours to completely extinguish the fires.

Residents were inside both homes when flames broke out with some in the process of evacuating when firefighters arrived. No injuries were reported.

Damage for both homes is estimated at $80,000 combined.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
