Three men were arrested in a Waffle House parking lot shortly after breaking into a Cricket store overnight in Hamilton. Police say two of the suspects are father and son.

Hamilton Police were called to the Cricket Wireless location on High Street around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. Upon arrival, officers determined the business had been broken into.

According to a police report, the suspects entered through the back entrance, got into the store's safe with tools they brought along and stole the money inside.

The suspects, identified as Rickey Lee Shepherd, 44, Clinton James Helman, 39, and Clinton James Helman Jr., 20, were later tracked down in their vehicle at a Waffle House in West Chester.

All three were taken into custody and transported back to the Hamilton Police Department. They've been charged with Breaking & Entering, Safecracking and Possession of Criminal Tools.

Police said the men are all from the Dayton, Ohio area and have an extensive criminal history.

Authorities from Moraine, West Carrollton, Fairborn, New Lebanon, Huber Heights, and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office all assisted in the case.

Search warrants are currently being conducted at the suspects' homes. The break in remains under investigation.
