Cincinnati Bengals WR Marvin Jones was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week Wednesday by the NFL.

Jones became the first player in Bengals history with four receiving touchdowns in a game following Sunday's home game against the New York Jets. He was also the first player in nearly six years to get four TD receptions in any NFL game. According to officials, the last to do it were New England's Randy Moss and Dallas' Terrell Owens in November 2007.

Jones caught all eight passes to him against the Jets, gaining 122 yards. All of his TDs were on red-zone plays, covering nine yards in the first quarter, six and 14 yards in the second quarter, and six yards in the third quarter.

Jones tied the Bengals game record for touchdowns of any variety. FB Larry Kinnebrew scored four TDs, three rushing and one receiving, in 1984 at Houston as well as HB Corey Dillon had four rushing scores in 1997 vs. Tennessee.

Prior to Jones' performance, the Bengals record of three TD receptions had been posted 11 times.

Jones is the first Bengals WR to win the AFC Offensive Player of the Week Award since 2007, when Chad Johnson won with a game of 12 catches for 103 yards and three TDs against Tennessee.

Bengals WR A.J. Green won an AFC Offensive Player of the Month award last season.

The Bengals have now won two AFC Offensive weekly awards this season. QB Andy Dalton was Player of the Week for Week 6 after posting a 105.9 passer rating at Buffalo.
