NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A babysitter is in a lot of trouble after the child she was supposed to be taking care of allegedly went missing.

The 1-year-old was found wandering in the street on Lischey Avenue in Nashville.

Police were called and officers started going door to door to figure out where she came from.

Police ended up arresting babysitter 38-year-old Defreada Smith. She allegedly told police she had no idea how long the child was gone or how she got out of the home.

Smith has been charged with child neglect, which is a felony charge.
