MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The Alabama State University audit committee met at 4 p.m. Wednesday, but only two members were present.

The committee wasn't able to establish quorum because the number of members didn't meet the minimum required. However, there were no action items on the agenda to vote on so the committee still met for informational purposes.

Alabama Governor Robert Bentley released the preliminary findings of a forensic audit into the finances at Alabama State University in October.

The 36-page report completed by Forensic Strategic Solutions details allegations of wrongdoing by multiple members of the Alabama State Board of Trustees.

The allegations of financial wrongdoing were originally raised by former ASU President Dr. Joseph Silver. Silver had only been on the job for two months when he began to ask questions about some contracts and financial agreements the university had with some vendors.

Another committee is scheduled to meet at ASU Wednesday. The presidential search committee will meet at 6 p.m.
