DANVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Multiple police agencies say the man charged in a central Kentucky triple murder case attempted suicide on the day of his arrest.

Kenneth Allen Keith is accused of killing Michael and Angela Hockensmith and Daniel Smith, a business associate, at a pawn shop in Danville in September.

Officials at the Pulaski County Detention Center say when Keith arrived at the jail he had just been to a local hospital for treatment of a cut to his neck.

Jail staff said they were told Keith had cut himself, possibly with a can, while being questioned prior to his arrest.
