NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A high-rise planned for Green Hills isn't going to be as high as originally planned.

The mixed-use tower proposed at the corner of Hillsboro Pike and Richard Jones Road was originally supposed to be 22 stories.

The project manager says the building's plans have been reduced to 16 stories.

Opponents are worried about the impact to traffic and congestion in the neighborhood.

Even with the shorter height, it will still be the tallest building in Green Hills.

The original plans, announced last month, include offices, restaurants, retail space and at least 275 apartments.

Construction is expected to begin next spring.
