Clayton County Police arrested two teens, charging one in the murder of Jevon Freeman, 25, who was found dead in a car Wednesday, after attempting to sell his iPhone on Craigslist.
Police believe 18-year-old Terrance Justin Dent picked the spot where he would meet Freeman. Clayton County Police Major Johnny Robinson said police questioned Dent, who confessed to shooting Freeman.
"His words were that the buyer got nervous so he felt something was going on so at that point he fired his weapon twice, striking him once in the chest," Robinson said.
Police arrested Dent, and charged him with murder, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon used during the commission of a crime, tampering with evidence and furnishing a pistol to a minor.
Police also arrested a 17-year-old who they claim held the weapon for Dent. He is charged with possession of a weapon by a minor. CBS Atlanta is not publishing his name or image because he is a minor.
Online, supporters of Freeman started a fundraising page to raise money for his funeral. The page states that he was married with two young sons.
