Three injured after car drives into crowd in Longview

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

An 18-year-old man is in serious condition at Good Shepherd Medical Center Monday after being struck by a vehicle driven into a crowd on people Saturday night in Longview.

Adrian Moreno has a fractured hip, broken clavicle and his chest was crushed after a female intentionally drove a gray Toyota Camry into people gathered in the 100 block of East Myrle Street in South Longview, according to Cameron McCloud, Moreno’s stepfather.

The suspect fled the scene before police arrived, said Longview police spokeswoman Kristie Brian, adding that charges will be filed against the driver.

“There was a party full of witnesses,” McCloud said on Monday.

Two other people in the crowd were also transported to the hospital for treatment and have since been released, McCloud said.
