MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Retirement Systems of Alabama CEO Dr. David Bronner isn't holding back his feelings on Gov. Robert Bentley's decision to not expand medicaid.

During a speech at the 7th annual Beasley Allen Legal Conference and Expo in downtown Montgomery Thursday, Bronner said more than 300,000 Alabamians will be hurt by the governor's decision.

Bronner also echoed concerns that rural hospitals will be hurt by the decision to not expand medicaid because less federal money will available to help hospital cover the uninsured.

In the past, Bronner has called Gov. Bentley irresponsible and said the governor's  hard stance was tied to politics because he's running for re-election next year.
