ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany State's Dexter Moody and Frank Rivers both pick up SIAC honors, as ten Golden Rams place on the first or second All-Conference teams.

Moody is the SIAC Defensive Player of the Year. The senior defensive back from Twin Cities finished 2013 with 45 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble, blocked punt, and three interceptions.

He was also the SIAC Title Game MVP.

Rivers, a Grambling State transfer, is the SIAC Newcomer of the Year. The junior QB threw for 2004 yards and 19 touchdowns, both good for second in the conference.

Along with Moody, DL Grover Stewart was named to the All-SIAC First Team Defense. The Mitchell County product was the only defensive freshman given the honor.

DL Glen Stanley and punt returner Quintory Braswell were named to the second team.

Offensive linemen Hakeem Lassiter and Victor Moli, as well as kicker Zach Holley, have been named to the All-SIAC First Team offense.

Rivers, RB Phillip Moore, and WR Jessie Atkins were named to the second team.
