HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Huntsville Police responded to a cutting at a Governors Drive motel Tuesday night.

The incident happened before 7:45 p.m. at the Southland Motel. Police found a man with a laceration across the chest.

He told officers that he and a acquaintance were arguing outside the property when the other person pulled out a knife and cut him before running away.

The man was taken to Huntsville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are still looking for the other person involved.
