BIBB COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

Bibb County sheriff's deputies say a suspect is in custody after being on the run for nearly three hours.

Twenty-two-year-old Troy Malloy Brown of Centreville is charged with DUI, attempting to allude, possession of marijuana and leaving the scene of an accident.

At 6:53 p.m. Tuesday, a Centreville police officer pulled Brown over on a traffic stop. When the officer asked him to step out of the vehicle, police say Brown took off.

A short time later Brown crashed his car into a creek on Abercrombie Road, just off of Alabama Highway 219.  The suspect then ran away.
