Sending celebrities fan mail is not a rare occurrence. However, sending one a wedding invitation might be a little rarer than expected.

But what's truly rare is one that will respond back to you! That's what happened to Anna Bozard and her husband, Brandon Bozard, a University of South Carolina graduate.

At Anna's behest, the couple sent an invitation to Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning about a week or so before the Oct. 23, 2013 nuptials. Anna has been a tremendous fan of the 37-year-old signal caller since his days as an Indianapolis Colt.

Anna is such a fan of Manning that she actually drafted him in her keeper fantasy league during the 2011 season when he sat out to recover from a neck injury.

"My husband actually made of fun of me," said Anna.

Just days later, Anna's parents, who were in charge of the RSVPs, received the response from Manning.

Anna and her mother opened the envelope and were both shocked to see what Manning sent back.

Manning "regretfully declined" the invitation, but did sign his name on it and offered "best wishes" to the Bozards.

"I was just so surprised, shocked, and excited," said Anna. "I had no idea what to think."

Now what would have happened if Manning had actually showed up to the wedding? Anna says it would have been awesome, of course.

"I wouldn't have cared if it took attention away from me because I would have been so excited about it," said Anna.
