Stabbing leads to domestic violence charge for Tuscaloosa man

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

The Tuscaloosa Police Department says they have arrested a man on after a stabbing that happened on Thursday.

Officers say they received a stabbing call around 6 p.m. and responded to 6219 East University Boulevard. They were told the 48-year-old victim was stabbed by 55-year-old Charles Sexton during a fight over a female.

After interviewing all of the people involved, probably cause was found to charge Sexton with domestic violence: 2nd degree assault. Sexton was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail. On a $15,000 bond and a 12-hour hold.

The victim was taken to DCH for treatment.
