ATLANTA, GA (WBRC) -

What a difference a year can make. The 2012 season wasn't a good one for either Auburn or Missouri's football teams, but in 2013 they are facing off in the SEC Championship game in Atlanta.

Fans from both schools are showing up to watch their team of Tigers play in the Georgia Dome.

For Auburn fans, it has been a bit of a magical year with the dramatic wins over Georgia and Alabama.

"It's wonderful. We did not expect to be here this year. We thought it would be another year but this has been an outstanding season," Auburn fan Nola Owens said.

This football season means a lot to Auburn fans especially coming off of last year's losing season.

"Oh very excited. Last year was such a hard year but we are still behind our team anyway," Jennifer Ainsworth said.

In the RV parking lot, the Auburn fans outnumber the Missouri fans but they too are relishing the chance at the SEC title. Some fans even drove through snow to get to Atlanta.

"I think it's pretty important after coming off this year after we had last year. I think we want to show people we belong. Hopefully we will start tomorrow," Missoui fan Louis Scott said.

Either way, a Tiger will win the the SEC Championship on Saturday. And for now, all of the Tigers are smiling.
