COLUMBIA, MO (RNN) – In a major upset on Saturday, unranked and undefeated Missouri defeated No. 18 UCLA at home 80-71.

The Tigers (9-0) gave the Bruins (8-1) their first loss of the season.

UCLA controlled the Tigers for most of the first half, outscoring Mizzou 43-35, but the home team fought back in the second half.

Three Tigers finished in double figures, including guard Jabari Brown, whose perfect free throw shooting (10-for-10) was critical to the Tiger's taking control in the second half. Brown finished with 22 points and six rebounds.

Guard Earnest Ross was also a part of the second half dominance of the Tigers. His third 3-point shot gave the Tigers their first lead of the second half. Ross finished with 20 points.

The win was Mizzou's 24th consecutive home win.

Missouri's next game is at home against the Western Michigan Broncos on Sunday, Dec. 15.
