ELMORE COUNTY, AL (WSFA) -

Alabama State Troopers confirm a Wetumpka man was killed in a crash with an Elmore County school bus and another vehicle Monday morning.

Troopers say Shane Lambert, 37, was killed when the 1999 Mitsubishi Montero he was driving collided with an Elmore County High School bus and a Ford F350.

The crash happened at 7:45 a.m. on Tallassee Highway three miles east of Wetumpka near Firetower Road.

The driver and a passenger in the Ford suffered minor injuries.

An official from Elmore County Schools said no children were hurt in the accident.

The bus was headed to the county's tech center in Wetumpka at the time of the collision. Another bus picked up the children and transported them to the center.
