(RNN) - Scottie Wilbekin and Kasey Hill will return to action for
Florida (6-2) when the Gators take on Kansas in the Big 12/SEC Challenge on
Tuesday night. The Game will take place at 6 p.m. at Gainesville's Allen
Fieldhouse and will air on ESPN at 7 p.m. ET.
UF's two top guards both suffered ankle injuries.
Wilbekin got hurt last Monday, Nov. 2 in a game against
Connecticut and Hill has missed five games since he went down on Nov. 18. The
Gator guards lead the team in assists: Wilbekin averages 5.7 and Hill 4.3 per
game.
The Gators had a four-game win streak before losing to
UConn. They are averaging 72.4 points and allowing just 60.9 per game.
Senior F Casey Prather leads the team with 19.1 points per
game and averages a second-on-the-team 5.8 boards. Michael Frazier II has 13.5
points per game and leads in three-point goals with 23.
Both teams are coming off close losses. Florida has not
played since the 1-point, last-second
loss at UConn. KU (6-2) is ranked
No. 6 in the nation after coming off a 75-72 loss at Colorado.
Kansas freshman Andrew Wiggins scored 22 against Colorado
and lead the team in scoring with just over 15 points per game. Perry Ellis, a
forward, has 6.8 rebounds per game to lead the team, and is averaging 14.5
points shooting 60 percent from the floor.
The Big 12 leads the Challenge 6-2.
