AUBURN, AL (WTVM) -

The Auburn Tigers are headed to the National Championship in Pasadena, Ca. after a big win over Missouri this weekend.

Tickets to the game start at about $900 each, but that's not the big cost; air fare, hotels and food add up quickly.

Carolyn McDaniel with My Travel in Auburn says good deals to the BCS Bowl are unfortunately few and far between.

Packages for two start out at $8,000 and include one hotel room, two BCS tickets and round trip airfare, for three days.

McDaniel has organized about a dozen trips since Saturday. Auburn fan Beverly Jennings booked on Sunday and admits to having second thoughts.

"After we did it and I thought about it all day long, that a lot of money [for] three days," said Jennings. "Do I really want to do this, I called Carolyn and she said, oops no refunds."

McDaniel says if you are willing to spend the money, you have to act fast, be flexible and creative with your travel plans, because flights and hotels are booking up.

McDaniel says the BCS Championship in 2010 was much more affordable in her opinion, simply because it was closer than California.

Flights are holding at about $1,700, but they are booking up fast.

We do know Auburn University is considering opening up the arena for fans to come in and watch the game and if the Tigers win, you get to roll Toomer's Corner.
