VALLEY, AL (WTVM) -

A 78-year-old Valley, Ala. rape victim's testimony in court led to the conviction of her attacker.

Keith Donell Truitt, 47, was found guilty of raping, attempting to sodomize and burglarizing the elderly woman last September.

Police investigators say the victim's heroic testimony along with DNA evidence led to Truitt's conviction.

Truitt will be sentenced on January 16 and remains behind bars on no bond.
