Wednesday, progress continues in one of the hardest hits areas during the April 27 tornado. Officials are set to break ground on Fire Station 4 in Alberta City.
Two years after the storm, signs of progress can be heard all around. The city recently opened its East police precinct near where the new fire station will be built. The Alberta School of the Performing Arts is also being built and Alberta Baptist Church is being rebuilt after receiving heavy tornado damage.
Wednesday's groundbreaking ceremony for Fire Station 4 is at 10 a.m. Thursday. Reporter Josh Gauntt will have reaction from residents on the progress being made in Alberta City tonight on FOX6 News at 10.
