COVINGTON CO., AL (WSFA) -

Covington County authorities say eight people were arrested on methamphetamine charges in two separate cases Wednesday.

Drug Task Force agents went to a residence off Harmony Church Road in Harmony after receiving reports of narcotic activity.

The agents reportedly found items to make methamphetamine, eight separate "one-pot" methamphetamine cooks, various chemicals used to make meth, finished product meth and smoking devices.

Six individuals were arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, manufacturing a controlled substance and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. The following people were charged:

  • Clay Anthony Stacks, 22
  • Janerious Michael Carter, 20
  • Jasmine Gatlin,18
  • Andrew Dwight Coon, 23
  • Joseph Taylor Spenard, 20
  • Joshua Seth Spenard, 22

All six are being help on $550,000 bond each.

Also Wednesday, county probation and parole officers were conducting a routine home visit when they found a vial containing meth, according to Covington County authorities.

Tia Nicole Denmon, 31, and Willie A. Henderson,44, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. They are both being help on $13,000 bond.
