MURRELLS INLET, SC (WMBF) – Due to the strong possibility of severe weather and concern for the safety of guests; Brookgeen Garden's "A Night of Thousand Candles" has been canceled for Saturday, December 14. The current weather forecast calls for high winds, heavy rain, and some thunderstorms.  

There are still three upcoming dates on December 19-21, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., for visitors  to experience this holiday event.

The Live Nativity Drive Through has been postponed due to rain, according to Fran Willey,a volunteer with the Church of the Resurrection in Surfside Beach.

The two showings will be held on Sunday, December 15 and Monday, December 16 as the make-up date. The time will be from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
