With winter break just around the corner, some Tuscaloosa City Schools have yet to receive the right textbooks for students.
State curriculum changes have slowed down the textbook distribution process. Some students have to continue using old textbooks until the state catches up.
State lawmakers and local education officials are being blamed for the delay. Officials hope to replace the old books in January but it will still take time for teachers to get trained on the new material.
