Alabama ranks among top 10 states with the worst drivers

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

Alabama is in the top 10 states with the worst drivers according to a survey from CarInsuranceComparison.com.

Alabama ranked number five but Louisiana took the number one spot. The researchers based their findings on car fatalities, citations, DUIs and other issues.

The full ranking is:

1. Louisiana

2. South Carolina

3. Mississippi

4. Texas

5. Alabama

6. Florida

7. Missouri (tie)

7. North Carolina (tie)

9. Montana

10. North Dakota
