MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Christmas fell a little early for some students in the River Region Thursday and their early present was a bicycle!

Thirty students at Prattville Elementary School, 15 boys and 15 girls, found themselves the new owners of bikes. The toys were donated by Academy Sports and Outdoors and the winners were selected through a drawing.

"The kids had to be respectful, responsible, or safe to earn a Bobcat Buck," said Principal Felissa Clemons. "And their names went into the drawing and they worked hard the whole semester to have the opportunity to win a bike!"

In Montgomery, students at Dalraida Elementary School also got in on the action when representatives from Academy Sports and Outdoors stopped by to drop off another 30 bikes to deserving students!

The winning students were between grades 3 and 5 and were eligible for the drawing if they had good conduct grades.

Academy has donated over 3,300 bicycles to schools across the country this season.
