(WMC-TV) - Three men are under arrest and charged with capital murder in the shooting death of an Ole Miss graduate student.

Zach McClendon, 25, was found dead Wednesday morning just a few miles outside of Oxford, on Levee Road in Lafayette County.

Joseph Bryant Lyons, 20, Steven Matthew Wilbanks, 22, Derick Richard Boone, 23, are all in custody and charged in the murder.

Court documents reveal the three men were robbing McClendon when he was killed at his apartment. Sources tell Action News 5's Michael Clark that at least two of the suspects lived next door to McClendon.

University of Mississippi officials confirm that two of the suspects are currently students at Ole Miss, and one was previously enrolled. Boone and Wilbanks are currently enrolled in classes.

Lyons has not been enrolled since 2011, but recently posted to his Facebook page about being in the U.S. Army. A spokesperson with the U.S. Army confirms he enlisted through delayed entry in September but had not yet reported for training.

All three suspects were denied bond and remain in jail.

McClendon, a Gulfport native, was a first year graduate student at Ole Miss, studying for an MBA.
