CLARK COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A soldier from Clarke County, Mississippi is among those who died in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan this week.

Army SPC Terry Gordon graduated from Quitman High School in 2011.

He and five others were killed when the helicopter went down Tuesday.

US officials say the pentagon is looking into whether the troops came under enemy fire after surviving the crash or died in the crash itself.

Gordon was 22 years old.
