The South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to an accident that snarled traffic at the intersection of Highway 17 and Socastee Boulevard.

Traffic cameras from the SC Dept. of Transportation showed southbound traffic at the intersection is being forced to turn either left onto Farrow Parkway or right onto Socastee Boulevard. The Highway Patrol's website indicates the crash was on the Bypass in front of McDonalds.

Just before 8 p.m., traffic was flowing normally again. No injuries were reported.
