Major counterfeit goods bust in East Point

EAST POINT, GA (CBS46) -

Local and federal officers made a major counterfeit goods bust on Thursday.

East Point Police said four storefronts in a The Shops at Greenbriar plaza were actually fronts for selling illegal items including purses, wallets and shoes.

They said if the goods were legitimate the value would be more than $10 million.

Officers investigated for a month and moved in after making undercover buys of the goods. Knock-off purses were sold for $30 instead of the designer price of $5,000.
