Police investigate suspicious package at Abbeville law office

HENRY CO., AL (WSFA) -

Authorities in Henry County responded to a report of a suspicious package at an Abbeville law office Thursday.

According to the sheriff's office, employees at the law office of Samuel Christopher Money thought the addressing on a package seemed "peculiar." It was also very heavy.

Abbeville police, the Henry County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigative Task Force and the Dothan Police Department Bomb Unit responded.

The area was evacuated, and the bomb squad x-rayed the package. The package was determined to not be dangerous.
