Birthday party murder suspect turns himself in

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

A wanted suspect following a shooting at a birthday party in Center Point turned himself in and has been released on bond.

Marcus Jarell White is accused of shooting and killing Roosevelt Parker Jr.  The shooting happened at 1:30 a.m. Saturday.  Deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department responded to a call about a large fight at a party at a business in the 1200 block of Center Point Parkway.  When the deputies arrived, they found two men who were stabbed and a third that had been shot.  The stabbing victims were taken to the hospital.  Roosevelt Parker Jr. was pronounced dead on scene.  He was lying in the parking lot of the business.

The business is a venue that is rented for parties.  Marcus Jarell White turned himself in at 11:00 a.m. Saturday.  After being charged with murder, White posted a $50,000 bond and was released.
