EASTHAMPTON, MA (WSHM) -

A dispute between a veteran with a service dog and an town bar came to a head on Sunday afternoon.

Gary Houle and his dog "Princess" had a brief meeting with Pulaski Club representative and former Springfield Mayor Mike Albano during a protest outside of the bar.

Houle said the club's manager threw Princess and him out on Thanksgiving night, even after providing proof that Princess was a service dog.

Sunday, Houle told CBS 3 that his thoughts about that night have not changed.

In a statement released Sunday, club officials described this as an unfortunate situation, one they would like to see resolved.

Albano, who said he became a life member of the Pulaski Club on Saturday, wants to be in the role of mediator.

Houle was not interested in meeting with Albano but said he would have liked to hear from Pulaski Club Vice President Scott Vishaway.
