Cincinnati Police over the weekend said a man who was shot Dec. 14 in Avondale died on Friday. 

Police identified the man as 19-year-old Avonte Russell.

Police at 9:55 a.m. on Dec. 14 responded to the 700 block of Whittier Street to investigate the shooting.

Police have no information about suspects. The department's homicide unit is investigating.
