AUBURN, AL (WTVM) -

An Auburn man has been arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse.

The arrest of 28-year-old Benjamin Rollins follows an investigation of the alleged abuse of an infant at a home on Webster Road in Auburn.

According to police, medical officials at the East Alabama Medical Center found injuries on the child, who was then transferred to UAB Children's Hospital for treatment.

Police say Rollins is responsible for hurting the child, who has since been released from the hospital and is in foster care.

Rollins is being held in the Lee County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
