AUBURN, AL (WSFA) -

An Auburn man is facing a felony charge after police say an infant was found with injuries.

Benjamin L. Rollins, 28, was arrested on a warrant for aggravated child abuse.

Authorities say medical officials contacted the Lee County Department of Human Resources after discovering injuries on the child when he or she was brought into East Alabama Medical Center for an unrelated medical complaint. The report was filed Nov. 14.

The abuse allegedly happened at a residence in the 300 block of Webster Road in Auburn.

The child was later transferred to a hospital in Birmingham for treatment.

The child is currently in foster care.

Rollins was taken to the Lee County Jail where his bond was set at $10,000.
