Woman beaten, dragged in hit and run attack remains critical

BRATENAHL, OH (WOIO) - Police in Bratenahl are looking for the suspect in a vicious road rage incident.

A two-car accident happened on Eddy Road around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The male and female drivers got out of their vehicles and started arguing.

The male driver then got back into his full-size silver pick-up and drove away with the woman hanging onto his car. He dragged her to the 1-90 eastbound ramp, where he got out of his truck and began to beat her. After he beat her, he again got into his truck and drove away, running her over in the process.

The victim's family tells 19 Action News she is still unconscious and in ICU at MetroHealth Medical Center.

The suspect driver remains on the run. Police are asking for the public's help in finding him. He is described as a white man in his 40s, about six feet tall with a medium build and brown hair. He is wearing blue jeans and a dark jacket.

His vehicle is described as a newer model two-door, silver truck, possibly a Chevy Silverado.  It had a brown or maroon stripe across the tailgate. Police believe it has heavy front end damage from the accident.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Bratenahl Police at 216-681-1234.
