DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

A Decatur woman who was reported missing was located in Jemison Thursday afternoon.

According to family, Elizabeth Loretta Swords, 66, is a dementia patient and was supposed to be going from her apartment on Sandlin Road to Kirby Bridge Road on Wednesday around 4 p.m. but never arrived.

Swords was reportedly found in Jemison at a gas station. A customer noticed she was confused and contacted her family on her behalf.

Family members are arranging to re-connect with Swords.
