MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The Auburn Tigers left Tuesday afternoon from the Montgomery Regional Airport and the fans came out in full force to cheer on their team.

The Montgomery Regional Airport and the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce planned the Reverse Tiger Walk to send off the Tigers to the BCS National Championship in Pasadena.

Hundreds gathered in the cold and win to cheer on the team.

Many said since they aren't able to go to the National Championship, they still wanted to show their love for the team and hopefully motivate them.

Auburn head football coach Gus Malzahn tweeted Tuesday, "We have the best fans in college football! Reverse Tiger Walk at the airport was amazing! #WarEagle".
