Officials in Tuscaloosa have rescheduled the monthly warning siren test for next Wednesday, January 8.
The siren test was rescheduled after this month's test fell on the New Year's Day holiday. Tests are usually held on the 1st Wednesday of each month and last about 30 seconds.
Residents in Tuscaloosa are encouraged to note if they can hear the siren and use the time to practice safety precautions in case of a dangerous event.
