The thing to do this weekend in Cincy

And now it's the weekend. Who-dey. And now it's the weekend. Who-dey.
(FOX19) -

This week has felt very odd.

First it was Monday and then all of a sudden it was New Year's Eve. New Year's Day felt more like Sunday than Wednesday. And now it's the weekend. Who-dey.

Crave Case cornhole tournaments

Basically, Greater Cincinnati White Castle partnered with the American Cornhole Organization to hold qualifying Crave Case cornhole tournaments each Saturday in January. The pinnacle is a championship tournament on Saturday, Feb. 1. The best part? The winning team receives an all-expense paid trip to West Virginia to compete in the World Championships of Cornhole in July 2014.

Details: Saturday at 8111 Highland Pointe, West Chester. www.americancornhole.com.

The Boar's Head and Yule Log Festival

One of the oldest continuing festivals of the Christmas season. On its 600th anniversary in 1940, it was first celebrated in Cincinnati at Christ Church. Performances are free but a ticket is required.

Details: Performances on both Saturday and Sunday. 318 East Fourth Street, Downtown. www.boarsheadfestival.com.

Around the World in 80 Days

A musical at Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati about Englishman Phileas Fogg and his French valet who circumnavigate the world in 80 days on a wager. Set in 1899 with a running time of 1 hrs, 45 minutes and one intermission.

Details: Friday, Saturday and Sunday showings. 1127 Vine Street, Over-the-Rhine. www.ensemblecincinnati.org.

Amy Schumer at Horseshoe Casino

The comedian/actress will star in Comedy Central's 'Inside Amy Schumer' this April, which she created, writes and stars in. Schumer also got to roast Charlie Sheen and Roseanne Barr during their Comedy Central roasts.

Details: Saturday, 8 PM. Horseshoe Casino Pavilion. 1000 Broadway, Pendleton. www.amyschumer.com.

Ultimate Dinosaurs: Giants from Gondwana

It's your last chance to see a whole new breed of beast at the Cincinnati Museum Center. The exhibition has some bizarre, unusual looking dinosaurs virtually unknown to people here because they evolved in isolation in South America, Africa and Madagascar.

Details: Ends Sunday. 1301 Western Avenue, Queensgate. www.cincymuseum.org.

Ice Skating Lessons on Fountain Square

Learn how to do your best Michelle Kwan on Fountain Square. The Cincinnati Skating School is a non-profit ice skating program which offers free lessons by professional instructors. Classes are free but advance registration is required.

Details: Sunday, 1-2 PM. 520 Vine Street, Downtown. www.myfountainsquare.com.

Bengals vs Chargers

The NFL playoffs haven't been kind to the Bengals in recent years. Our last win was in 1990. Sunday's 1:00 PM game is a big deal. Wear your Bengals gear and head downtown.

Some pre-game suggestions:

-Bud Light Tailgate Zone 'Playoff Edition' at The Banks from 10 AM to 1 PM.

-Head inside Holy Grail, Moerlein, Tin Roof, Toby Keith's, Jefferson Social + more spots next to Paul Brown Stadium.

-In-Between Tavern on Sycamore Street has many options under $5 and Tina's on West 4th Street opens by 8 AM for Bengals home games.

-Beer Sellar on Riverboat Row in Newport has an awesome view or Molly Malone's Irish Pub on East 4th Street in Covington has a FREE shuttle for customers to all home games.

-Bengal Bomb Squad in Lot 1 from 9 AM to 4 PM. They are die-hard.

-Get your friends, pack a cooler, grab some handwarmers and tailgate in any of the lots near the stadium (1, A, B, D, E, F).

-Be sure to bundle up because Steve says it's going to be "teeth-chattering cold."
