Deputies said the man who allegedly shot and killed a man outside a home in Morgan County has been arrested..

Authorities responded to a shooting on Gullion Road around 10:30 Thursday night. When deputies arrived they found a man shot multiple times in the yard in front of his mobile home.

The victim was identified as Jonathan Graham Bowling. He died at the scene. The sheriff's office called the incident Morgan County's first death of 2014.

Deputies said they found meth at the scene and that the confrontation appeared to have started over narcotics and property crimes.

Cody Lee Compton, 21, of Union Grove, was wanted in connection with the fatal shooting. Authorities said Compton was believed to be armed and dangerous.

According to the sheriff's office, Compton was arrested in Marshall County early Friday evening. His bond was pre-set at $750,000.

The woman who authorities said was riding with Compton, Amanda Nickolas, was also taken into custody, but has not been charged at this time.
