LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A 20-year-old Kentucky woman, who was the focus of a two-week, cross-country search, was located safely at a Las Vegas Strip resort Friday.

The mother of Jena Chisholm said her daughter was found Friday afternoon at the Cosmopolitan hotel-casino. During a news conference to discuss finding the 20-year-old, Chisholm's mother said she was found sleeping in the parking garage of the casino property.

Police said they didn't suspect foul play or drugs in the case of Chisholm's disappearance.

Chisholm's mother told the media she reunited with her daughter, whom she said was tired and ready to go home. The mother said Jena ran out of money during her time in Las Vegas.

Chisholm was the focus of a two-week search that began Dec. 20. Chisholm's aunt, Jeni McArtor, said her father awoke to a note that said Chisholm was staying with a friend and would return home in time for a doctor's appointment the day after Christmas. She said Chisholm never returned.

McArtor said the family used an app on Jena Chisholm's cell phone to determine that she was recently in the Las Vegas, Albuquerque and Los Angeles areas.

Chisholm's mother told media on Friday she was told the 20-year-old lost her phone.

Tom Scheben, spokesman for the Boone County Sheriff's Office in Kentucky, said Jena Chisholm's dog was found tied to a fence outside the Diamond Inn, which is across the street from Mandalay Bay, on Dec. 26. He said a cleaning crew found the dog inside one of the rooms and put it outside.

Chisholm's mother said Chamber would return to Kentucky with the family.

On Friday morning, Chisholm's mother told FOX5 that her car had been found at the Siegel Suites on South Cambridge Street, just east of the Las Vegas Strip. Police did not immediately confirm the information.

By Friday afternoon, Office Laura Meltzer, of Las Vegas Metro police, said Chisholm was spotted at a casino on the Las Vegas Strip about 10 p.m. Thursday. Chisholm's mother told FOX5 that her daughter was spotted at the Quad Resort and Casino in the company of a man authorities described as homeless.

Meltzer added it was not believed Chisholm was endangered.

Stay tuned to FOX5 for the latest on this developing story.
