MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

A team of six Montgomery firefighters have made it to the finals of a national firefighter challenge.

The team will race Team Horry from South Carolina in the 2013 Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge Lion's Invitational. It's part of the Cotton Bowl Festivities in Arlington, Texas.

Wearing all their gear, firefighters are timed in a race simulating a real fire emergency.

Only the top 20 teams in the nation competed. The team has beat groups from Texas, Wisconsin and Canada.
