The Madison Police Department has confirmed a shooting at Country Inn.
The shooting occurred during a robbery in the parking lot of the hotel. One shot was fired. The victim who was shot had non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Huntsville Hospital, according to the police.
Police asked drivers to avoid the area of 101 Westchester Road while they searched for a male suspect. The area reopened for traffic around 8:30 p.m.
