Over the weekend, Middletown Police responded to a crash at Roosevelt Blvd. just east of Highland St. involving a pedestrian being struck.

It happened at 12.43 a.m. on Sunday, January 5. On arrival, officers found that the driver fled the scene. 

The pedestrian David Banks was found to have left a park in the 1500 block of Highland St. and was walking towards Smith Ave.

Banks attempted to cross east bound Roosevelt Blvd. when he was struck by a 2003 Kia. 

Banks was transported by the Middletown Fire Department to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH where his condition was unknown. Officers are still trying to locate the driver.
