Holyoke police arrest man with unlicensed gun

HOLYOKE, MA (WSHM) -

Police told CBS 3 that they arrested Julio Delarosa Jr. on Saturday night.

They said the 24-year-old had a loaded and unlicensed .38 caliber handgun on him. He is now facing gun charges, as well as a possession of heroin charge.

Police said they were patrolling the area of South Holyoke when they made the arrest with the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Western Mass Gang Task Force and members of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Task Force.

They said the patrols have been requested by property owners to respond to gang and drug activity in the area.
