GREENVILLE, AL (WSFA) -

One person is dead and two others are injured following a weekend 2-vehicle crash in Butler County.

Alabama State Troopers say the crash happened around 6:20 a.m. Saturday at the 136 mile marker of Interstate 65. That's approximately seven miles north of Greenville.

Investigators say Kim Marie Riebe, 46, of Gulf Shores was killed when the 1997 Chevrolet pickup she was riding in collided with a 1999 Peterbilt driven by Ronald Davis, 42, of Loxley.

Authorities say Riebe was not wearing a seat belt and died on the scene. Davis was not injured.

The driver of the pickup, Ronald Riebe, 39, along with another passenger, Matthew Davies, 25, both of Gulf Shores, were transported to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers.
